There are 3 different sets of Rules to abide by.
1. Board Rules
2. IC RP Rules
3. Battle Arena Rules
Board Rules:
These rules apply anywhere on the board, including the chatbox.
1. Be respectful of others.
2. No spamming/flaming/trolling.
3. No swearing (Come on we're Role Players. We have imagination: frick, frig, frack, beaver home, son of a bisquick.)
4. If you have a problem with another person please report it to an administrator. If you have problems with an admin please report it to Life/Death.
5. Have fun. This is a RP board for fun. Don't take things personally or forget to separate yourself and your character.
IC RP Rules:
1. Since the main focus of the board is the IC story line we ask that all characters participate in the main role play.
2. Since there is only one main plot your character may only be in one place and at one time. If you want to move from place to place you must post at your starting point and indicate to where you are going. You must then also post at each in-between place (unless you have the ability to teleport). Dimitri will help demonstrate:
Post 1: Dimitri starts within Level 9 of Hell. He indicates in his post that he is going up to level 7. He leaves Level 9 by a small cave pathway that leads upwards.
Post 2. Dimitri must post now that he is in Level 8 of Hell and is on his way to Level 7. He passes through the main part of the level and over to the exit pathway.
Post 3. Dimitri is now in Level 7 of Hell where he originally wanted to go. Now he is here and can go about whatever business he needed.
3. Inactivity. If you know you are going to be gone for an extended period of time please let and administrator know. If you are gone for an extended period for a long time or fail to post in the main story for an extended period we will make every attempt to contact you both on the forum and off (via any provided contact methods: e-mail, MSN, skype, ect.) If we cannot get ahold of you action will be taken as follows:
Canon and Board characters: The staff will put your character back up as open for application and might even post for you to keep the story flowing.
Original characters: The staff will determine the best way to take your character out of the story or see if you are willing to allow another member to take on the role (if you become overly important to the plot.)
Please realize that this is a community of writers. As such when you post you are lending your character to all the others helping to write the story. To pull out your character without writing it into the story is considered not only rude but selfish to the others helping to write the story with you. This is why your character might continue under the guide of one of the admin until we can find a suitable exit plot. When you sign up and apply for an original character we understand that the ideas and concepts behind the character are yours. However by RP'ing on our board you agree to uphold the community of writers.
Battle Arena Rules:
1. The Battle Arena is not part of the main IC. The Belief Status is only for Battle Arena fights. Fighting may occur inside the main plot regardless of a persons Belief Status.
